What is Trinity’s vision for its Worship Arts ministry

Our desire is to help people experience the manifest presence of God; to move beyond just having a relationship with God, but also to experience continual fellowship with Him.  We want to help people hear and recognize His voice in their hearts, through worship.  That kind of experience with God is not reserved for the "super"-spiritual.  God desires that for all of us.

We want our Trinity family to consider every worship event, including Sundays, as an opportunity to introduce others to that God experience.  And to steward those opportunities well.

The difference between relationship and continual fellowship is important.  A couple can have a legal relationship after their wedding day, and will continue that relationship if they never see each other - they will still be legally married.  But they can go beyond that legal relationship and have fellowship with each other through spending time together and getting to know each other with increasing intimacy.  So it is with God.  When we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we begin a relationship with Christ.  We are saved by grace and nothing can separate us from His love (Rom 8:38-39).  But having continual fellowship with Him involves spending time with Him until you get to know Him with increasing intimacy so that you recognize the sound of His voice, and you begin to care about what's important to Him.  Do you know the things in your world that are important to God?  If you do, do you care about those things like He does?

We pray that you will experience worship that will inspire you to draw closer to God.  “Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith” (Heb 10:22) and the promise that we will bear much fruit if we abide in Him (in His Word and in His presence) (John 15).

How can I use the talents God has given me to serve in the Worship  Arts Ministry at Trinity?

If you are an instrumentalist, vocalist, actor, dancer, writer, or if you enjoy working behind-the-scenes in a production ministry such as audio, video, lighting, staging, set building or if you have a passion to welcome visitors, or to help prepare communion… we need you!  Please review the list below and consider how you can serve God with your gifts and talents.

Choir and Vocal Ensembles

The choir is a wonderful opportunity to inspire worship and glorify God in a chorus of voices.  It is a wonderful application of 1st Corinthians 12 as the many parts join together to form one beautiful sound.  Email or call 212-838-6844, ext. 215.

Praise Team Singers & Soloists

If you have a passion to see people worship God and you are vocally talented and read music, email or call 212-838-6844, ext. 215 to schedule an audition.

We need musicians at our regular services and for our concerts. Email or call 212.838.6844, ext 215.

Music Composition and Arranging

If you are talented in composition, song writing, orchestration, vocal arrangements, or notation, email or call 212.838.6844, ext. 215.

Communion Preparation

This is an opportunity to serve in the preparation of the communion elements, a vital ministry that is performed “behind-the-scenes” but which allows our congregation to observe the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper each week.  Email or call 212.838.6844, ext. 215.

Audio & Lighting

If you have a good ear, we welcome those with technical or audio talent to join our Sound Team.  We also have a growing need for lighting expertise especially in our Weekend Services, concerts and special services.  Email

Stage Management

Production support is critical to our concerts and special events.  This includes setup/tear down, set building, and staging.  Email

Project Management

Every worship event is a project that requires coordination and tracking of deliverables and deadlines.  If you have a talent in organization, administration, and a mind for details, please email or call 212.838.6844, ext. 215.
